Neat place where kids can take a free book home. There were silly and cute items for sale like comical mugs and book marks. Throughout the store there is games the kids could sit and enjoy w their cousins and my toddler loved the train table. We loved leaving our mark on the map showing what state we were visiting from!

Such a pleasant bookstore. Great prices! Definitely not trying to rip you off like a certain other bookstore in our area(lookin at you Mr. K's..) Will be going back for sure!

I’ve been wanting to get to this new indie bookstore for several weeks and finally found the opportunity with an author event. What a great addition to downtown Johnson City. Very pleased with the chosen authors and their interviews and the opportunity to check out the store. Interesting layout using the footprint of a former bank. Clever set up of the stacks and of course, I found some interesting books that I didn’t know I was seeking. Be sure to check out the children’s area and free book program as well as the local author offerings. I expect to become a regular.

Such a gem in downtown! I was delighted to discover this bookstore…cleverly housed in a repurposed bank, on my last visit to Johnson City. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the themed book rooms, including the vault! The wide array of books, both new and used, guarantees any book lover will find a treats. Cannot wait to visit again.

The JC Book Depot is a breath of fresh air. The other used book store across town has essentially become a unpleasant retail bookstore. The staff at JC Book Depot is friendly and welcoming. There is a wide variety of books and other offerings. They can also order any book that you are looking for and allow you to use store credit. JC Book Depot is a local business that sincerely wants to encourage and support community. This will now be my go to place for all my book needs!

Such a fun, welcoming bookstore! I always find my next great read, even when I don’t know what I’m looking for. Every room has different categories and fun surprises. There are even books tucked in unexpected places! The kids’ room is wonderful, with play areas and a free book for every child each visit. There are cozy spots to read and play games. A great addition to downtown JC!

Cute place, brought in a bag of books, there is a wait time so do not expect your credit dame day. The place is located on the corner, it is an old bank. The offices are book rooms, labeled on door frame. They really need someone to write the genres in calligraphy the handmade index cards were atrocious. Need comfy chairs outside the high bar tops are very uncomfortable. You must ask for the key to pee, so go before you come down, NOBODY wants to touch a dirty key.

A must stop spot! Great/ diverse selection of books and well organized! Lots of great kids books, + very accessible! My fav detail was the lil handwritten index cards to label the different sections!

I walked in a fell for this Old Bank turned Book Store. Accessibility, cleanliness, location - The Johnson City downtown needed this spot. Reasonably priced books with a stellar collection, that is truly fun to explore. This was a refreshing location to visit and I intend on visiting again, and often! Great selections for young to old!
